Below are prices for Don Douglas Photography's portrait sittings. The prices listed in each category are for both an in-studio sitting and for a sitting in your home or at another out-of-studio location. There is no limit to the number of changes of clothing you may utilize in your sitting. Also, sitting prices are the same regardless of how many individuals will be sitting for the portrait, and with most portrait sittings it is possible to accommodate several different groupings. All exposures are made on professional medium format film emulsions to allow for negative retouching, and for sharp, excellent portrait enlargements.

Basic Sitting

In-Studio: $ 75.00 / On Location: $ 125.00

This is our most common sitting. It involves shooting 15 medium format exposures in either black & white or color. This sitting is right for most family portraits (these prices apply regardless of how many people are included in the sitting), individual portraits, formal bridal portraits, engagement portraits, school and children's portraits, publicity and executive portraits, and other photographic needs. This sitting is used for basic high school senior portrait sittings.

Full Sitting

In-Studio: $ 100.00 / On Location: $ 150.00

This sitting is best when a greater variety of images or poses is needed. It involves shooting 30 black & white or color medium format exposures, or 15 of each. This sitting might be recommended when a family portrait sitting will involve photographing each individual family member in addition to the family group, or for model or actor publicity photos in which a wide variety of poses or expressions is needed or in which both a head shot and a full-length are required. This sitting is used for full high school senior portrait sittings.

Extended Sitting

In-Studio: $ 125.00 / On Location: $ 175.00

This sitting involves shooting 45 black & white or color medium format exposures, or 15 of one and 30 of the other. It is utilized when a maximum number of poses, backgrounds or images are required, when a large number of different groupings need to be shot, or for sittings that will be lengthy or complex to shoot. This sitting would be used when shooting a model portfolio or for other photographic applications in which a large number of exposures is required.

Additional film is billed at $ 30.00 per 15-exposure roll.

It is highly recommended that you make time for a short consultation session prior to your portrait sitting. This will allow you to look through portfolios and express interest in particular poses, backgrounds or portrait styles that appeal to you. You will also have the opportunity to discuss clothing and color choices and other considerations that will affect your finished portrait images.
